As a man, I am curious how a man and his daughter ended as roommates with a female who is a "female of interest" and is having a long-distance relationship. From my end, it is possible if I am repulsed by my roommate, relationship-wise. But, then I might start being rude, unintentionally. From a military standpoint, it's real easy to slip into emotional ties when living with women - trust me, even if they are married or lesbian. He's got be like in Special Operations to be able to not slip into relationship with a roommate of interest, especially if his daughter loves her, too. You know that little girl has slipped up and called her mom at least once if she is under 7.

That is a tough situation to analyze. I don't see a way to pinpoint the issue when not all parties are going to be honest. Men are taught to lie to make a woman feel good and when they can't, isn't that usually because they are losing interest?
