I don’t remember the specifics about the script of Duke’s of Hazzard, but I would like to point out that regardless of how anyone views the “Confederate Flag”, and I don’t know when that term came into existence, but that flag is the official (and legally only known as) The Virginian Battle Flag. Even when I used audio-to-text, my phone knew to capitalize all four of the words. It only capitalized the word “Confederate” when I said “Confederate flag” (like so) (and the word flag should not be capitalized, grammatically speaking), because there’s no other actual name for the flag. Unless we’re saying that history can be screwed up based on feelings. If feelings dictated NASA’s math calculations, we’d be in trouble. If feelings were admissible in court, we’d be in trouble. There’s a reason why there is a system, not feelings, in charge of making the world spin. The Confederate Flag (with a capital F) is associated with CSA or the Confederate States of America, Virginia is not the source of the CSA has anyone who can read English can clearly understand just based on the words, Virginia was only farmlands. Lastly, the Civil War had many moving parts. Not all of it was about freeing slaves — and the north also had slaves. Another side note, there have been people who were noted to have slaves, but in fact had freed their slaves and just merely employed them so they would have a job. I want to say there were three or four separate initiations for the war. The Virginian Battle Flag arrived in the Civil War when the northern Democratic Party decided they were not going to listen to it’s Virginian citizens, when Virginia said they did not want a railroad, and used The Virginian Battle Flag to kill black people, known as the KKK. It wasn’t Virginians, it was a strategic battle plan to get America against Virginia in order to get a railroad through Virginia and obliterate all the farmlands. This fact was also verified by the White House historian, she might not be the historian anymore; I forgot her name though, it was an amazing black woman with a PhD who was the White House historian (Republican, by the way).
We see that media narrative in history since then, as well. Even voting is all about the majority. If you get the majority, you win. That’s been a fact ever since God made everything. Sure, you can find some Virginians who didn’t know that situation and who were racist, jump aboard. Just like you see racist people all over the place jumping on board. What is racist now, doesn’t mean that’s what it actually meant through history. We have distorted many things throughout the United States. There are many states that differ on what is legal. But both are seen as correct.
But anyways, I can bring this point all the way through biology, theology, philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and more, but I won’t. And no, I’m not defending a flag. I am defending Virginia, it’s former battle flag, and the fundamental principles in the United States historical community.
I do understand that people have been affected by the KKK and I am not demeaning their situations. I’m sorry they have been the victimized by people who suck at history — and probably all historical components. They can thank the northern Democratic Party of the Civil War time frame for that.
