I've been more transparent about us men in the past few years, since I've come to know that defending us men has less value than helping women understand men.

Men will lie for years and years with lie #1. Lie 1 is "I'm a good catch to bring home". It started with lying to women just to get her locked in, quickly get her to trust us (nothing fun happens before that), have a little bit of playtime and playing house. Men like that do not think long-term, although they are great salesmen about long-term.

Lie 2 has a few factors. Sometimes men don't want to hurt her and try to live without love for years, a generation even. Eventually that kernel is going to pop. Lie 2 is "I love you". Another reason, is men will feel like they are too invested to tell her the truth. But, just like the kernel, men cannot last forever in that heat.

- Men can withstand heat for someone who gives them love (it's the combat and government principle).

- Women can withstand heat for anything they love, even if it doesn't love them back.

The takeaway, if a man has a good one-liner, it's a sales pitch and does not reflect any male principles. The jock, same. A lot of SEALs have a chemical imbalance in the brain and cannot turn off the competitive side for intimacy. Don't try to fix that, it's neurological.
