The Depletion and Cancellation of the Mental Health Field in America

America is made of policy, defense, long-term finance and economy (including social security), health (Medicaid & Medicare), and mental health — these are the things that keep us moving as a society

“As you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me” Matthew 25:40

I have worked in different aspects and jobs within the mental health field, law enforcement/military, and business.

Disclaimer: This is the first part to the story I published a few days ago. I originally made this sarcastic, but I’ve remastered it.

Agenda One: Mental Health

Let’s travel down one of the company’s I’ve been in. Follow me to the CEO’s office and the Financial Department.

In one of the mental health company’s that I’ve worked for (I’ll leave them undisclosed), we were paid by:

  • Medicaid
  • The State
  • Insurance
  • Out of Pocket
  • The Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Grants (staff are never paid with grants, but grants for programs forces companies to focus their internal funding towards staff)
  • And private equity
